This is not a clan page. We are, of course, not a clan. We are just a bunch of BattleField 2 players who met at WOLF US #1 server and enjoy playing with each other in a squad. At some point, somebody started naming the squad "cheaters", which I never figure out why. In any case, we regularly meet at 8:00 pm. Pacific time on WOLF US #1 server, every Friday.
There is no membership to apply or whatever, just join us on WOLF US #1 server. Most of the time, the squad is named "Cheaters", "Chetrs", or even "Chetrs_SUX." Some suqad member wear tags like "[chetr]" and "[CUAO]" which stands for Cheaters United As One. Some don't wear any tag.
We in the chetr squad play the game, chat a bit, and sometimes use foul language as defined (and unpublished) by some Red Guard Morality Nazi admins. If you are squimish about the words like "fuck", perhaps you should not join the chetrs squad, as we won't accomodate you on this one.
I, Hempstead, have some free resources to spare, like a spare static IP, domain name, etc., so I figure I can put up some stuff, like this web page and a Single Player Coop server. I dread writing raw HTML/XML, but not writing code to generate HTML/XML. Therefore, as you can probably have guessed, this page is generated by FrameMaker 7, so I don't have to write the raw HTML/XML.
If you are a regular chetrs squad member, and think that my web skill sucks and you can do a better job, well, ask me and I will consider giving you full control over it.
September 23, 2006: The Chetrs BF2 server problem has been resolved. It currently runs patch 1.4 and allows global unlocks. See the instruction page to install.

All the current running maps are modified vanilla BF2 maps. They are all 64-player maps in coop mode. Currently, only 32 bots are configured. If you experience problems on the bandwidth, like laggy or rubber-banding, please let Hemp know so he can scale back the bot counts.
The following is the list of current running maps, according to their stability order from high to low.
Note that the Wake Island, Daliang and Fushe maps crash a lot, avoid it at all cost. The BF2 server is simply buggy and the "modified" maps crash it a lot more than the stock maps. The most stable map is Kubra Dam, which can run all day and rarely crash. Daquing map does not even run. I know what the problem is. I fixed it, but it means you will have to download it from me. See the instrucitons for more details.
The current server setup will automatically restart if it crashes. Just wait a minute and it will come up again.
